No-Brainer Pricing & Proving the Value of Your Intangible Digital Products to Potential Customers
Episode 920: Show Notes
Have you ever seen a product and thought, “Shut up and take my money!”? This is what we call no-brainer pricing, and during this episode, I’m going to show you how to make offers so irresistible that customers won’t need convincing. Let’s get into it!
Why Perception Really Is Everything & How to Use It to Your Advantage
It’s really simple: when the value outweighs the price, customers don’t hesitate. The person who gets the most sales is the one who does the best job of describing the value over the price.
In the business world, people want to make money. So, what you are ultimately selling is their ability to make more revenue.
Overcomplicated products confuse buyers and kill your sales. A no-brainer offer solves one clear, specific problem and does it well. The kind of offer that is going to give you momentum in your business is the one that is going to give someone a quick and almost immediate win. And because it’s a quick return, you’ll earn trust faster and they’ll be far more likely to purchase from you again.
Making the Value Obvious Every Time
Since the customer can’t see or touch your digital product, the value has to be obvious in other ways. Your no-brainer offer should basically do the work for them. To solve an urgent problem, you need to know what their needs are. What’s stopping them from reaching their goals? People buy solutions, not products.
I use one of my no-brainer products as a very high-converting lead magnet: my One-Day Launch helps people go from concept to launch in just one day, and it is incredibly effective. I also have a paid example: Your Digital VA is a ChatGPT prompt vault that gives people who are intimidated by AI a bunch of pre-loaded prompts to work with.
The Easiest Way to Make Your Offer Accessible
If you want to make a product a no-brainer, your ideal client needs to immediately understand what you are offering. Ideally, these are even search terms. If someone is searching for a specific thing, your product is more likely to come up when you integrate SEO-friendly terms that are relevant and obvious.
A huge element of perceived value is saved time! Customers are willing to pay more for products that save them time. So get clear about how much time you can save them, what kind of time they can save, and where they could spend the time if they weren’t spending it on this.
Communicating Your Value Through ROI
You have more influence over perception than you think! Using low ticket pricing is an opportunity to get paid by your audience. It just requires volume. Low cost doesn’t mean low value; it means low risk. How are you getting that information across?
On your sales page, you need to have an example of Return On Investment (ROI). If you don’t have reviews yet, you need to include some form of social proof, whether it's reviews of previous content, examples, or personal anecdotes. This is a fantastic thing to include in a sales email.
How to Get the Price Right
You can price your products wherever you like, as long as their perception of value is higher. That being said, I talk about that more in my One-Day Launch Challenge. I’m helping you create the no-brainer product, talk about it, create the copy for your sales page, price it right, and then launch it and get it out there!
If you have an existing offer, use this as an opportunity to do an audit. Are you solving a real, urgent problem? Are you giving someone a quick win? Are you illustrating what it feels like to use your product? Are you talking about the time savings?
