Learning That Money Can Come At Any Time

Gabby’s bold money mindset didn’t come from a textbook; it came from lived experience and a refusal to accept limitations. Raised by parents who valued enjoying life despite financial constraints, Gabby grew up seeing money as a tool to create the life you want. That perspective, combined with what she calls “delusional confidence,” shaped her belief that nothing is truly impossible.

For Gabby, embracing abundance meant noticing how money flows to others, whether it’s a kid on Snapchat making millions or actors breaking through later in life, and asking, “Why not me?” Over time, this curiosity and determination turned into a mindset that sees money as always present, always possible, and entirely available to anyone willing to stay open to it.[Text Wrapping Break][Text Wrapping Break]This outlook also helped Gabby avoid the pressure and shame that often come with financial lows. Instead of obsessing over what she lacked, Gabby focused on what she could control: putting in the reps. Whether posting daily on LinkedIn or pitching PR agencies, she built visibility through consistent action, without attaching unnecessary emotional weight to the process. [Text Wrapping

Create for Who You’re Becoming

Gabby doesn’t just create content for who she is today, she creates for the version of herself she’s becoming. For her, that means always keeping the long-term vision in mind: the lifestyle she wants, the income she’s aiming for, and the audience she hopes to attract. [Text Wrapping Break][Text Wrapping Break]She points out that many creators unintentionally build audiences that reflect their current reality, like attracting budget travelers by only talking about being broke. But if your ultimate goal is luxury travel and financial freedom, you have to start shifting your lens. That might mean reframing your content with a future-forward mindset or strategically phasing your message to evolve with your goals.

Create Like No One’s Watching

Gabby hears the word “audacity” a lot. People are inspired by her boldness and her willingness to dream out loud. But from her perspective, it doesn’t feel bold at all. She’s not thinking, “I don’t care what people think, I’m doing it anyway.” Instead, it feels more like writing in a public diary. She shares her ideas and tags dream brands not to get a reaction, but because she’s genuinely excited about the vision.

If you’re always focused on how things will be received, it’s easy to lose touch with what you want to create in the first place. The better question is: what would you make if no one else had to see it?

How Platform Code-Switching Helps Reach the Right Audience

Anyone who’s ever code-switched in real life will recognize the same shift happening between platforms. Gabby adjusts how she shows up depending on where she’s posting, from TikTok to Instagram. Gabby has a particular fondness for LinkedIn, where she gets to slow down and have the kinds of intentional conversations she doesn’t get to have elsewhere.[Text Wrapping Break][Text Wrapping Break]LinkedIn is also where she can think out loud and connect with professionals in marketing who she hopes will remember her name when opportunities come up. It’s strategic, but also personally fulfilling, to have different platforms serve different parts of her voice.

How Gabby Makes Money as a Full-Time Creator

When Gabby first got started as a creator at 25, her main source of income was still her nine-to-five job. On the side, she was bringing in money from brand deals, freelance writing, digital products, and a bit of affiliate income.

Five years later, her income looks very different. Around 65% now comes from brand partnerships, with most of that coming from repeat collaborations. She’s also built two subscription communities: one for travel scholarships and another where she coaches aspiring travel creators.

Speaking gigs and corporate consulting have become a steady part of her business, thanks in part to her presence on LinkedIn. Digital products still contribute, but affiliates have taken a backseat. For her, the hustle just isn’t worth the small return compared to high-value partnerships and community-driven income streams.

Building Strong Brand Partnerships That Last

What really drives Gabby’s success with brand deals is relationship-building. When a brand reaches out, especially through a cold contact, she leads with intention. She introduces herself, shares her media kit, and makes it clear up front that she values long-term partnerships. Her audiences, especially younger followers, are tired of one-off ads. They want to believe she actually uses what she promotes, and they believe it more when they see it multiple times.

The One Mindset Shift You Need

To wrap up the episode, Gabby shares common misconceptions about platform growth and monetization. First, while “you are the niche” still holds true, it’s not enough on its own. In today’s saturated digital space, clarity and strong branding are what help you stand out. She also highlights how often creators overlook the admin side. Things like CRMs, follow-ups, and workflows aren’t optional extras; they’re the engine behind long-term growth.

She leaves listeners with one powerful mindset shift: the person on your vision board isn’t more talented or deserving; they’ve just shown up and kept going. Success often comes down to assuming the best and acting like it’s already yours. So, make a post. Start a conversation. Reach out to peers and strip away the shame that holds you back. Sometimes the biggest momentum starts by simply showing up!

Quote This

It's important to see money as a tool to get to the lifestyle you want or the things you want, but money should never be the end goal, because what's a stack of paper worth really, if it's not helping you actually live your life.
