Amira’s Journey to Unstoppable

When Amira first set out on her entrepreneurial journey after a career in corporate, she had to hustle – hard! By year three, she had managed to cross the six-figure mark. But at this point, she was stuck. She couldn’t hustle any harder than she already was. One evening, she experienced an epiphany. This was not how she wanted to live her life. She had to figure out, “How do I do life differently? How do I do business differently?” She took a deep dive, uncovering what creates success, and realized there were all sorts of things blocking her that she needed to overcome to become unstoppable.

She founded the Unstoppable Woman to help countless women break through their limiting beliefs, building a multimillion-dollar business along the way, all while breaking down her own limiting beliefs again and again.

Learning to Stop Running and Start Listening

Most successful women need to have a confident exterior as part of their job. But that doesn’t mean they don’t experience doubts. Usually, it's less about their business and more about their personal life. For Amira, it’s important to work with those doubts behind the scenes, because if you don’t, they can fester and undermine you in surprising ways! Generally speaking, high achievers are often running from something. If you want to truly move forward and find success (instead of just running away), you need to address what you’re running from.

To identify your doubts and what you need to address, Amira suggests listening to the whispers that come up for you during quiet times; the lull between one big project and the next. Those whispers can be about any number of things, from wanting deeper friendships to spending more quality time with family. If you listen to them and act on them, instead of just setting the next goal, you have a chance to redirect the course of your life. They’re there to help you!

How to Get Leverage Over Yourself

Once you make the decision to change, you need to figure out how you’re going to get leverage over yourself and follow through. A key element is uncovering your core wounds and how they keep you from moving forward. Once you unpack those and work through them, you have a much higher likelihood of staying the course. Other accessible tools for getting leverage over yourself include public accountability. All too often, we make pacts with ourselves in private, only to let ourselves off the hook later on. Having that extra public accountability can help you do things you would normally chicken out of. It can be as straightforward as posting your goals on social media.

This is exactly what Amira did to get herself to run a marathon (something she had never done before), and it worked! She ran the marathon even though she didn’t have nearly enough time to train and she had limiting beliefs about being an athlete. Of course, there’s a time and a place for everything. Some goals, like running a marathon, are great for doing publicly but more personal goals might be better to pursue privately. Another excellent tool for creating leverage is repetition. Daily meditation is an excellent way to keep your goals front of mind and remind yourself to prioritize them in your daily life.

Building an Exquisite Life

What does an exquisite life look like for you? Are your actions leading you towards that? For Amira, she had to learn that doing things with as much urgency as possible wasn’t her idea of an exquisite life. It was an expedited life. She had to recognize that, to her, an exquisite life meant connecting with others and the universe with an open heart.

The meaning of an exquisite life is different for everyone, and we all have various shifting facets of ourselves that need tending to. Give yourself permission to evolve; it’s normal and good for your goals to change! To find out what an exquisite life means for you, you need to truly stop to evaluate your life and what you want, and then you need to claim it.

Make use of all the tools at your disposal, from public accountability to finding a mentor. Admire your life, but be honest about what's working and what you’d like to be different. Listen to those whispers and trust yourself. You're stronger than you think. You CAN do this!
